Evaluación de la calidad de la atención de Enfermería en el Hospital de Santa Fe: un estudio basado en la opinión del personal de Enfermería, Médicos, pacientes y familiares.

Abstract

In this research, nursing care quality assessment is presented, based on the nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families own opinion. The subject measured variable was nursing care quality, and the dimensions for this variable were: structure, process, and outcomes. Indicators were established from each dimension. The research was descriptive, transversal, analytical and quantitative.The nursing staff, parents, physicians, and relatives who were in Santa Fe Hospital throughout July, August, an September, 2005 accounted as inclusion criteria;  research techniques and instruments used were: working cards, observation, interviews. and questionnaires.The studied sample included 163 nurses in the 3 work shifts , 127 patients, 119 physicians, and 101 relatives.


From the outcomes it could be confirm that structure quality, process quality and nurses staff outcomes quality in Santa Fe Hospital is graded by physicians, patients, relatives, and the nursing staff itself as having a “good to excellent quality”, which endorses Santa Fe Hospital as the best private hospital in México due the quality of its services.
