Abstract
Today every man looks for being included in the social group in which live and develop. To reach the goal needs to find right activities and at the same time they have to be satisfactories.
The factors that determine vocational and professional choice are more and more difficult for the young people today, instead of other generations, because there is many choices to decide. The choice a professional career is one of the most difficult process that the human being made in his process of professional definition, because it is relationed with other stages, as we see for example in the case of nursing.
This work refers briefly to the different moments toward consolidation of nursing as a profession; the factors that determine vocational and professional choice and their conditions.
