Abstract
The National Obstetrics and Perinatal Nursing Association (ANEOP) has been created aiming to rise Obstetrics and Perinatal Nursing knowledge through its own knowledge, research, teaching, exercise, and application among its associates and other similar societies for the benefit of society.
The ANEOP. A.C. is created as civil association in April 4th. 2005, and is integrated by titular and joint partners and honorary members; te chair table is integrated by eight members, from the president to the vocals. Almost ten meetings have been carried out by the direction and the First National Congress and international Obstetrics and Perinatal Nursing Symposium en 2005.
The Obstetrics and Perinatal nurse has his/her competency roll very well defined and he/she can be the required link between traditional midwives and those institutionalized professionals in order to achieve important advances, both in the coverage extension an the reproductive process quality and humanization. The Obstetrics and Perinatal Nursing Professional commitment is to care for women and children health and to influence on perinatal problems decrease, which implies deepening in his/her training for attending demands and obtaining satisfactory outcomes within his/her field.
